Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils have been working on developing the councils' first ever parking strategy. There is now an opportunity for residents to give their feedback.
- The online survey was open until 31 July 2022 to give your views on the Strategy
- Also The Parking Strategy Roadshow is a series of drop-in events across the districts. Dates and venues and more info can be found at:www.babergh.gov.uk/parkingstrategy

BOOTHBY CHARITIES:
I would like to remind residents of Harkstead about the presence of two charities which can provide financial help to anyone living in either Harkstead or Erwarton parishes.
They are known as the Boothby Charities.
One is designed to provide education support for anyone under the age of 25 years. Help need not just be restricted to the purchase of books and equipment for academic study, but can be used more broadly, for example to support development in sports and other areas.
The other Boothby Charity has no age restriction and can provide support if there is a financial need in hardship. It can also be used to assist people seeking employment retraining where the necessary funds are lacking.

COMMUNITY CONNECTOR SCHEME:
This provided by Suffolk CC and other organisations for anybody to use.
If you could use some advice on, as examples, your health and well being, feeling lonely for some reason or how to become more active in any way, this Scheme can help you with advice.
You can access it as follows:
1) when the CCS bus is parked twice weekly at Shotley Gate, Shotley Village, Chelmondiston, Holbrook or Stutton. You find the dates and times for this on:
www.suffolkfamilycarers.org/communityconnector
2) by ringing 01473 835445 to make an appointment.
The initial advice is free.
